Rosh Chodesh marks the beginning of each month as determined by the appearance of the new moon. Though all Jews traditionally observed this day, it is celebrated as a holiday for women whose origins go back to the Talmud.
Sisterhood has a Rosh Chodesh group that meets monthly at 7pm in the Adult Lounge. Each meeting is run by a different member or pair of members and the program is entirely up to them. Responsibility for a month is NOT required to attend and be part of this group but most people find they want to share something which is important to them.
