Rosh Chodesh marks the beginning of each month as determined by the appearance of the new moon. Though all Jews traditionally observed this day, it is celebrated as a holiday for women whose origins go back to the Talmud. Some women are comfortable in large groups. Others are looking for a small circle where their presence and input make a real difference. If you're looking for a small group, the Rosh Chodesh group might be for you. Meeting monthly on or close to each new Hebrew month, the Rosh Chodesh group is a small circle of women who come together to celebrate the new month, each other and sisterhood. Each meeting is run by one of the members who takes this opportunity to study the month or an aspect of Judaism which particularly interests her. Please consider checking out one of the meetings. Most are held at Temple in the Adult Lounge, with some held at a member's home. For more information, please contact Carolyn Mizne. | 2021-2022 Calendar
