Women of Reform Judaism - Temple Israel Sisterhood

Women joining together to serve and support our Temple, our community and our worldwide organization.

Mission Statement

Women joining together to serve and support our Temple, our community and our worldwide organization.

Temple Israel Sisterhood

WRJ-Temple Israel Sisterhood is the organization of women from our congregation and the greater Jewish Memphis area who come together in friendship to benefit Temple Israel, the Jewish community and beyond. Sisterhood is the collective presence, voice and strength of women within the structure of our Congregation.  It provides the setting in which its members meet and work together to foster and further the highest ideals of Judaism.

WRJ provides you with the opportunity to put your talents, time and gifts to work for many causes, both large and small.  It will enable you to enrich your life as well as that of our congregation and community.  In order to meet these goals, Sisterhood needs the support of all women from our Congregation, including those with little or no time to spare.

Women of Reform Judaism

As members of WRJ-Temple Israel Sisterhood, we are also part of a worldwide organization know as Women of Reform Judaism. WRJ strengthens the voices of women worldwide and empowers them to create caring communities, nurture congregations, cultivate personal and spiritual growth, and advocate for and promote progressive Jewish values.
