Women of Reform Judaism - Temple Israel Sisterhood

Women joining together to serve and support our Temple, our community and our worldwide organization.

Manna House Project

A group of Sisterhood members gathered on Sunday, December 4, 2016 to fill totes and purses with toiletries, cosmetics, books, candy, slippers and more to give as Christmas gifts for the women seeking assistance at Manna House.

Manna House is a house of hospitality that provides showers, clothing, coffee, conversation, and sanctuary for poor and homeless persons in Memphis.  Manna House is an all-volunteer organization open on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8am - 11:30am.  Ann Wilson has been volunteering at Manna House for 10 years and has a wealth of stories to share.  If you are interested in volunteering for this organization, please contact Ann Wilson.

“Let mutual love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing so some have entertained angels without knowing it.”
